XAT 2026 Syllabus Overview

| 1. Verbal & Logical Ability (VLA) | Reading Comprehension (RC), Critical Reasoning, Vocabulary, Grammar, Parajumbles. | Often includes RC passages based on abstract/philosophical topics and even poetry. |

How to Prepare
Decision Making: This is the game-changer. Practice caselets daily from XAT-specific books and past papers. Focus on structured, ethical, and logical reasoning.
VLA & QA: XAT focuses on the depth of understanding. Spend more time on quality practice over quantity, particularly for Critical Reasoning and advanced Quant concepts.
Time Management: XAT traditionally does not have sectional time limits, allowing you to allocate 175 minutes to 3 sections (VLA, DM, QA&DI) plus 5 minutes for GK.
